I’m not much for sports but when I was given the opportunity to go to a live basketball game, I took it and loved it.
It was the Raptors game and it was exciting to watch it live in the Rogers Centre downtown and to see the excitement of the crowd and the fans.
It was a close game and before you know it, it looked like the Raptors were going to lose so we got up from our seats to leave and bam! They got the basket that put them tied with the NYK and put them into overtime.
We sat back down and watched the game intensely for the next five minutes with massive amounts of time outs. Then again, it looked like the Raptors were going to lose because they fell behind in points so we rose up from our seats to leave and bam! They got another basket that propelled them to a point ahead.
We sat back down to watch another five minutes of double overtime with massive amounts of time outs, but it was worth it. We watched intently as they maintained the lead but it was very close. There was eight seconds left to the last game and they came out winning by three points.
It was crazy and I’ve come to know that I like watching basketball but only if it’s live. On television it isn’t nearly the same.
If you have the chance to watch a game live, take it. It’s one of the best experiences you’re going to have.
